Can I close my PayPal account with a negative balance. A scammer depleted what little balance I had in my account and left me with a negative $213 balance. Does that mean that the scammer received $213 or that they are waiting on me to put $213 in my account?
You can't close a paypal account with a negative balance, if you don't clear it then paypal will limit your account and pass the debt to a recovery agency to try and collect from you.
You need to sort it out with paypal if its a mistake.
