Error when resetting password

I have another paypal account that uses my primary email address, but i've forgotten the password to it. Any time I try to reset the password, it just gives me an error that says "Sorry, something went wrong on our end. Please try again." All attempts at calling support haven't worked, as my current phone number is linked to this current account and not the other one. Would appreciate any sort of help in terms of resolving this and regaining access to my other account so that I can use the account with my primary email address.

If you go to the 'Help & Contact' icon on the PayPal website. Then if you click the 'Contact Us' link at the bottom of the page. From here, if you click the 'Password and Account Access' option, then 'Login Problems'. On the next page, you will see a 'Call Us' option. You do not need to be logged in to use this feature.
