Should I insure my parcel with the courier company?
Assuming a buyer of an item pays via Paypal, is the package insured against damage in transit?
Or Should I insure with the shipping company i.e. Royal Mail, UPS etc

If a buyer files a dispute for non receipt of item then the onus is on the seller to provide 'trackable proof of delivery' to the buyers address or refund them.
So insurance is your responsibility.
I tend to send anything over xxx amount trackable but anything under xxx I take the risk but if it gets lost in the post I just have to refund the buyer and take that loss myself.
Advice is voluntary.
Kudos / Solution appreciated.
