Phone number changed - can't log in

My mobile number changed a few years ago but I never updated my profile. 

Now I can't log in as Paypal wants to send me a text on the old number to verify the account.

I've tried logging in from a different browser which doesn't work.

Also tried using the Help Chat system, but this also requires me to log in to proceed.

Tried ringing the help support number but spent ages going round and round in circles with the automated options, could not get to a point of speaking to an actual person.

Funny thing is, when I selected 'Ask the Community' to access this forum, it allowed me to log in to create this profile to do this!

Really stuck as to how to resolve. Would really appreciate if anyone can offer some help with this please?

Someone sent money to my old PayPal account I don't have access to that I don't know the password and the phone number that it references to send me a code to no longer is in how do I get around that

i want to remove my old paypal account,now i want to use this new account instead of my old account so i want to remove it,i have no access to my old number and i forget my password because it is already too long time ago,and my old number is dead,is there any suggestions? thank you

Hi my name is Sunday please help me for long I have been registered with PayPal but now I don't have access to the phone number I used then to register PayPal I had to open another one with another email but I can put my credit card I want to plead with admin please help me retrieve the old PayPal account with my email [removed] because anytime I. Try to log in they ask me to verify a code sent to the lost phone number and I don't have the phone number now please help me I need it urgently I can deletions this one if I can have access to that old account

Hello everyone,

I can't access to my paypal account because of twice checking in Europe, Paypal need to send me an SMS to my mobile phone. 

Problem is : I changed my mobile phone number and this one I put on my Paypal profil is not available anyway !!!

So, to resume, It's a crazy situtation : I need to enter on my paypal  account to change my mobile phone number.... but I cannot enter on my profil because I cannot receive SMS...

Somebody knows the solution ?

I want to delete my old paypal account but I cant verify to log into it so I need my old phone to verify but I dont have it.

Contact options for each countries Paypal customer services are accessed by clicking help/contact bottom left of Paypal pages.

1. Paypal phones when available (you can use the guest option if you can't log in).
2. Live chat is also randomly available.
3. You can send them a message, during business hours you may also be able to message whilst logged out.
Or
4. Have you considered contacting Customer Service via Facebook or Twitter?
You can send them a personal message from their Facebook or Twitter pages.

My mobile and home number is both listed for primary but then it says quick security check and my number isn't there nor will it allow me to add phone number there
