My new account defaults to the UK, I'm in the USA

I am trying to finalize my account set up and I cant as the address details are UK format. I can't enter a zip code (invalid format) as UK postcodes are different.

My entire account is UK defaults so currency is in £, addresses are UK, phone number is +44 etc.

I live in the USA.

My business is in the USA.

My transactions will all be in the USA.

My physical business location is in the USA.

 

I can't update my account details as it says I need to provide additional info (see image).... which I can't provide as it defaults to UK formatting..... So round and around it goes....

 

Any ideas how I fix this please as tech support are taking forever to reply?

Sounds as if you have opened a U.K instead of a U.S paypal account?

Go click on settings and see what it says next to nationality.

If its UK and you are in the U.S then as paypal is country specific you would need to close that account and open one registered in the correct country.
