can't validate new phone # but receive conf. code at that #

I want to delete my old phone # & add my new one.  won't validate new # but sent the code to it

I am sorry to know about the trouble you're having while changing the phone number on your PayPal account. When you add your phone number, we'll send you a code via text message to the registered number. Please note that you can only remove a phone number if you have at least two added to your PayPal account. Here's the help center article to know more information.
