I have a business PayPal account that has been active for a long time. I recently joined the organization for which the account exists. We are a parent-teacher nonprofit organization. PayPal has reduced transaction rates for nonprofits and I want that pricing on this account to maximize funds. When I called I was told I needed to change the name in the Personal Information section of the profile (where before it was the name name of the nonprofit instead of a person because the person in charge changes every few years). I did that, uploaded my drivers license, meeting agenda from the day I was voted in as treasurer, IRS document stating nonprofit status and a letter asking for this pricing. I received a message that said the name change was successful and that that name, my name, had to match exactly the name the bank has in order to transfer money. The name the bank has is the name of the organization! I feel like I'm going in circles. If anyone has experience with this processes or tips on how to succeed I'd love to hear it. Not being able to get in touch with someone is like a bad dream.
