Downgrade an account?

How do I downgrade my business account to personal? The Assistant robot referred me to an article that says it has to be done manually by a PP person. I then asked for the account to be "downgraded" and got the Assistant robot again. I tried again and again got the robot. It seems to be an inescapable loop. How do I get past the Assistant so my request goes to someone real who can actually do what I request?

There is no automatic way to downgrade a business account to a personal account, you have to contact customer services and they will do that for you.

Click help / contact bottom left of Paypal pages for options available for your country.

Or have you considered contacting Customer Service via Facebook or Twitter?

OR
You could just close your business account (removing all subscriptions / financial info etc first) and open a personal one.
