Cannot remove addresses on any browser, app, or platform.

Hello,
I've used paypal for many years now. Since then, I've moved 8-9 times and have shipped to friends and family countless times. I have over 60 addresses that pop up whenever I use Checkout With Paypal on websites. That is too many, and I'd like to delete almost every one of these. Here's the issue:
I cannot.
I go to my address settings on the website, it only shows one address. Figure maybe it's a browser issue, so I change browsers. Same thing. Change browsers again. Same thing, again. "Maybe it's a website issue," I wonder. Same thing on the iOS and Android app.s I go to "Smart Help" section, and it gives me a step-by-step guide... for outdated platforms that do not reflect any current PayPal model on app or on browser.
I'm just looking for help. This should not be so convoluted.

Welcome to the Community, and thank you for making your first post. I understand the frustration you're experiencing with the long list of addresses you see in a merchant's checkout, and I'm happy to be able to provide the resolution.
Addresses entered in a merchant's checkout rather than within your PayPal account are considered gift addresses, and they are only visible in the checkout experience. To have them removed, you can contact Customer Service and request to remove hidden gift addresses, and the representative will be able to assist. To see your contact options, click Contact at the bottom of the PayPal website, or alternatively you can reach out by PM on Facebook or DM on Twitter.

This problem is not just about “gift addresses”. When mine pops up, it includes fraudulent addresses as well as multiple older addresses. When I recently made a purchase there was a delete button but it wouldn’t allow me to use it; just kept trying to select as a new primary address. I agree with this original post— this process is far too convoluted. It represents a security issue and seems that PayPal is encouraging fraudulent activity.
