Payment Authorization email needs updating...and 1 other suggestion

Hi PayPal,

 

I tried out the paymentaction=authorization variable with an Buy Now button and discovered the email confirmation received as a result of payment needs updating. Within the email body, it addresses user as says "Hello,". No name. And it would be nice to update the payment authorization email subject heading format to "Item #{item_number} - Notification of Payment Authorization from {sender account name} ({sender PayPal email address})".

 

And/or receive an additional confirmation email once an authorization is captured like the one typically received when the variable is not used.

Hi PayPal,

 

An update on this issue...I've seen the update of the emails thanks but it still doesn't address me by my registered account holder name. It still just says "Hello,"

I am also not able to capture funds of an authorization. Getting error message saying "We are sorry, we cannot process this settlement at this time." What would be the issue? I am on the High Sierra Mac OS, by the way. Is that the issue?

I've asked the product team again to look into the email template.

 

As for the capture of funds, there are many reasons why that would happen. I'm super late getting to your response, and I completely apologize 😞 If you're still seeing that issue I'd say submit a request with Technical support to look into the transaction. If I'm too late and you've moved on, I'm sorry! Definitely didn't mean to keep you hanging.
