I gave a different card (Debit Express M/C) from my wallet to a gas station, and put the chip into the card reader, and was handed a receipt for a Contactless PayPal Cash Card transaction in the amount of the purchase. I never removed my PayPal card from my wallet, nor had my wallet within feet of the card machine. No ‘tapping’, or anything close to it occurred. The merchant could provide no explanation, nor resolution. PayPal CS has become completely useless of late, and I can’t justify the waste of time to contact them... so I post here hoping this venue may provide useful info.
