Paypal holding funds for 180 days!!

Morning PayPal Community,

So I sold a pair of expensive shoes worth £460.00 however PayPal have now limited my account and ultimately closed my account.. They have informed me that they will be holding my funds for 180 days, however I don't agree with this as I have posted the shoes with tracking information and asked the purchaser of the shoes to confirm receipt upon receiving them. I think it's wrong of PayPal to do this as we are in a pandemic and I am struggling as it is. Is there anything I can get my funds as soon as the purchasers is in receipt of the shoes?? Or will I just have to wait almost 6 months?!?!

Thank you all in advance xox

If you have been told your Paypal account has been permanently limited then Paypal tends to hold any funds for 180 days. This is the same time frame that buyers have to open Paypal disputes.

If no disputes are opened in 180 days then normally you are allowed to withdraw the funds. That is as long as you are over 18, the account is in your legal name and registered in the country where you reside.

Sometimes they confiscate funds under this policy.

Paypal also may request further documentation from you before you can withdraw those funds.
