The charge was identified at "Pay Pal *EBAY (nameofmerchant[Removed. Phone #s not permitted]. So I looked at my Pay Pal account, no charge on that date for that amount. Then I called the phone number. It was Pay Pal customer service. When the automated system answered it said it recognized my phone #, and that I had two accounts. When the CSR answered she asked me for my full credit card number. I argued that she didn't need it, but she insisted that she couldn't identify the charge without it. She identified the charge as coming from a purchase I made on EBay with this credit card. I logged into my EBay account, and, sure enough, I had! #1: Why was the charge identified as "Pay Pal"? It didn't appear in my Pay Pal account. #2: The CSR tried to explain why making that purchase on EBay with my non-Pay Pal credit card "created another account" with Pay Pal. But she insisted that I had two accounts at Pay Pal but "I shouldn't worry about the second account"! WHAT!! I'm still confused............
