I placed an order with a company from China and used PayPal specifically to protect myself. After 10 weeks, I received totally the wrong item. I escalated to a dispute.
I spoke to a representative who informed me that I have to send the package through the post office where I can receive a tracking number. At that point, I am to advise PayPal of the tracking number. Also then I can 'apply" to have the shipping costs refunded. The maximum amount of the refund, if it is given, is $35.00. However, to send this package back I have to pay $ 57.88 for the shipment and I already paid $8.00 for sending the package to me.
All of the paperwork and representation indicated that I would be getting a camera. When I received the package, there was no camera but a solar panel - which I do not want, need nor did I order. So now, I am being penalized - potentially for the sum of $57.88 - for something that I did not order.
I should add that I have been a loyal customer for years. There are other options now available to customers but I used PayPal because I trusted the company. I felt that if I was ripped off or I needed to return an article. Unfortunately, that doesn't seem to be the case and I no longer have faith in your company's business ethics. Paypal sided with seller. This is not acceptable to me.
