Hello, Greek user since 2014. Use PayPal mainly for a few ebay buys and some e-payments. Lately, use it rarely, so my balance had 126,18 €. Yesterday, 09/12/2019, (12:52 local time) received an email from PP, informing that I had sent 126,00 € to an unknown name (email provided, no other info at all). I was at work at that time, so I just login to my account from mobile, only to confirm that 126 € were gone. A few minutes later (13:20) received another email, informing me that someone else (absolutely unknown also) sent me 126,00 €. Needless to say, that none of these two transactions took place by me. Actually, I never sold anything through web or using PayPal. And I have never sent money to any email recipient. At 13:58, another PP email informed me that a recent received payment was probably unauthorized and they were investigating it. Clearly, I have no objection at this specific transaction, since I don’t know anything about the received payment. But exactly the same is true for the first transaction (equal payment sent)! Finally, and without any action from me during all these, received a last email from PP (17:58) informing me that the money received from the 2nd transaction were returned to the one who sent it. Eventually, I opened a dispute for the 1st transaction that was immediately rejected because they found that the transaction was not unauthorized (wow! excellent work!). I also sent an email that was also replied with the same justification. What the hell happened? Can’t they give a damn info about these transactions? Who the hell are these PayPal users? Where are they from? Can’t they call them (or email them) to ask what happened with this payments? e.g. what was your transaction with Evaggelia? Or maybe, can’t they search the IP of the devices, that were used for these accounts? Any information at all, except these silly preconstructed answers? I don’t know what to think. Because there is no way my password or devices (phone, PC) were hacked or stolen, combined with the fact that my balanced was completely emptied, I tend to think that the one who took my money knew my balance, which leads to PayPal only. On the other hand, PayPal is a serious company at a sensitive sector, and I can't believe that it steals it’s own customers. In conclusion. Even if they returned the money, trust is lost, and I’ m sorry because of some conveniences lost.
