Ok, so I’ve googled this issue to death and read everything I can find; called EBay, called PayPal and I still don’t feel settled about this situation. Basically I had an auction end for an expensive, 100+ piece toy. I noticed when the buyer paid, it had foreign characters on the account. Looking into the shipping destination, it’s the <removed>, Delaware address. I looked it up, know it’s supposed to be a shipping service for overseas as my buyer is in China. I only ship in the US and I know a lot of oversea buyers use forwarding services. Basically, after many phone calls about protecting my items with eBay, I read about scams with this address and buyers launching claims through PayPal that they didn’t receive the item etc. I’m hesitant to use a “3rd party” because I don’t know how this item will be handled at the forwarding location, plus still can’t decide if it’s a scam. I’ve messaged the buyer, they say they use it all the time etc, has 100% feedback...but still feel uncomfortable. Anyone have this situation? I don’t want anyone coming back and filing a claim. However I know if I cancel the transaction I get negative feedback. At this point, I haven’t shipped or cancelled. Any advice?
