Here's the whole story, which I reported to paypal after it happened, (they did nothing about it until today, when an agent named Blake reimbursed the amount, but that was quickly reversed): My vehicle was burglarized on November 1st, 2019. My cellphone and many other items were stolen, including documents and all my keys. I immediately feared the threat of identity theft but I wasn't able to take any action until the following day, I was unable to do any communication without my phone. The next day I changed all my passwords including paypal's but it was too late: somebody sent $200 using my paypal account to an entity/person named Delia Caretaking (I have zero knowledge). The money was to come out of my Chase Checking Account. While it was still pending, I personally reported it to Chase at a branch and they advised me to immediately close my account and open a new one as my banking info was compromised. I did just that. This left me with a -$200 balance in paypal. I reported this immediately to paypal, made phone calls and via messaging as well. I opened a case about it as well, but they did not accept any of it. few days later I tried to check on the status of my case and paypal showed that there are ZERO open cases. I did not understand this so I continued making calls to customer care reps from India with fake English names who did not seem to care or willing to do anything from me. I finally officially re-opened a case on Nov. 14th with all the information I stated, the case was promptly rejected and the appeal was rejected as well. I spent the entire month trying to prove my case to no avail. Is there ANYTHING I can do? My Chase Bankers couldn't help me either. I never filed a police report but wish I had... Also, the scammers requested more money from me a few days ago, I reported this to paypal as well and they said they can't do anything to help me. Earlier today, a paypal rep named Blake ACTUALLY REIMBURSED the $200 into my account, I saw this with my own eyes, but then a few minutes later his decision was reversed and I'm still missing the stolen $200... This has been incredibly frustrating. Any suggestions? I appreciate your time, Sandor G Finta
