To whomever this may concern .. Several years ago, I made a Paypal account and didn't give much attention to it because I didn't really " Need it ", I later found out that someone else has been accessing my account and added a credit card that I was not aware of on the account, Since I really didn't " need " the account I didn't go through the process of retrieving my account and neglected it. A couple of weeks ago, I was notified of a business opportunity and I would possibly need a Paypal account. I went through the process of retrieving the account since it was still connected to my mail account and after doing so, I found the account having a limited access. This is definitely a great step from Paypal to ensure the safety of their users. They required me to submit a copy of any form of self identification and a picture of the credit card that was on the account. Now I definitely submitted the personal identification part, but as for the card ( which by the way, the moment I retrieved the account, I removed it ) isn't mine so I have no idea what to do. In order not to ignore this, I simply made a document and explained that this credit card wasn't mines and that the account was compromised and I submitted a copy of my ID and all of that in which it was identical to my account's name and all that, took a screen shot and uploaded it where the card's picture was needed. Several days later, I received an email that my account will be closed, I tried replying it re explaining the case but there was no response. I don't really mind my account being closed since I haven't done anything with it if I will be able to reopen a new account on the same mail. I even tried to close the account my self but whenever I do so, I get a message which says " Sorry, there's a problem. If you keep seeing this, please contact customer service." I tried submitting a formal complaint by following the steps that were written which said : Go to Contact us. Click Feedback and formal complaints. if you press on Contact us, there is no button which says Feedback and formal complaints on the page. Furthermore, when I tried send an email option, I found that the number of characters that I can type is so limited that It wouldn't let me elaborate the issue at all. I am absolutely devastated from this quality of customer service I'm getting, this is far from anything I've heard or expected about Paypal. I am unsure about what I should do at the moment and I would appreciate any sort of help.
