If selling on eBay then 99% of your sales have to go through PayPal and if you don't want to use PayPal then you can't sell, and yet if you are a sole trader wishing to start up a business on eBay and being forced to use PayPal then it is a gamble as to wether it will flourish or fail through no fault of your own but for PayPal. If you are a sole trader starting up a business in the high street you get all the help you need and more from your bank. I have recently gone from being a private seller to a business seller due to the volume of sales I am doing, So When I get an email congratulating me on being an established seller and eBay being an above standard seller no negative things with either company, why then has Paypal all of a sudden put holds on money from sales until proof of delivery. Certain sales I offer free delivery which means an item selling for 5.95 if I don't send it 2nd class signed for (which will cost me 4.95) I won't get paid add to that once the funds are released they then put another hold whilst being transferred. So can roughly take from being sold to me receiving funds 6 to 10 days. Surly in this country this type of practice is illegal, its about time some individual or company stood up to these wanna be gangsters. All it is,.... is how can we earn even more money from these schmucks without being caught. Can you imagine what would happen if one of the high street banks carried on like this? We the little people need to stand up together and fight for what is right.
