Update - as I stated in my last post, I turned on the notification for purchases over $1.00 but saw no notifications. Just three days ago, I finally DID get an email notification after a purchase (not sure why it suddenly started working). I haven't purchased anything with this credit card since then, but will be keeping a close eye the next time I do, to see if the email comes consistently. If I continue to get emails after the next several purchases I make, I will report back here to let anybody who is curious know. I would still much prefer push notifications on the PayPal app on my phone, but email notifications is much better than nothing, so I hope this does work.
