I am writing here, because, apparently, all other possibilities to solve the problem and achieve justice have been exhausted. And your support relates to its duties formally and does not want to delve into the details. And also I am forced to fight and make excuses, while a company that essentially stole my money does not have to prove otherwise. This story began in October 2018. I paid an annual subscription to riddle.com. I received an invoice in confirmation (attached to the letter). In the invoice (which is very important!) There was not a single word saying that the subscription would be automatically renewed in a year. There was a period for which I paid - October 16, 2018 - October 16, 2019. During this year, I rarely used this service, so I did not even think about buying a new subscription. And suddenly, yesterday I receive a notification that the subscription has been updated automatically! Another important point! I have not received a single notification that my subscription is ending and will be renewed automatically. They just took my money. Such information was not available at the initial purchase. It is only said that, paying for a year, I get a 20% discount. But not a word about the extension. I immediately wrote to them in support, hoping that they are honest and understanding guys. But he was immediately refused. The only thing they agreed to help me with is to cancel my subscription for the next period (2021!). But this is not a physical product that they manufactured especially for me, and now I refuse to accept it. No, this is a virtual service. Which I didn’t even use for a second after they forcibly renewed my subscription. I did not write to them in a week, or a month or at the end of the subscription, trying to cheat. I wrote to them immediately! Now in the FAQ on their website the answer about auto-renewal is the first to hang. And they refuse me referring to this. The only thing is that he appeared today, after I wrote to them! I have a screenshot from the web archive of the same page for October 10, 2019 and it is not there. And even more so, this answer was not in October 2018, when I made a purchase. Therefore, we must be guided by these rules. Moreover, the FAQ is not a legal document and does not have the corresponding force. There is no payment agreement on their site! The only document I could find was the Privacy Policy. Indeed, there, in paragraph 7, there is some information about payments. But there is nothing about automatic renewal! (https://www.riddle.com/legal/privacy) As a result, we get only two documents with legal force - an invoice and a Privacy Policy. Both of them say nothing about their right to renew my subscription. Riddle, obviously, deliberately misleads people, not showing all the information from the very beginning. Hoping that people will not pay attention to another credit card payment. But most importantly - they deprive me of freedom of choice! Freedom to refuse to use their service! They tell me that I can stop it in a year! I sincerely hope that this time you will be attentive to this issue. I have provided you with the facts. 1. I was not informed that the subscription will be renewed automatically. 2. I was not warned in advance that the subscription is ending and if I do not take any action, they will withdraw money from my account. 3. There was no information on the site of the service that would help me understand what would happen. I confirmed all this with screenshots and documents. Tell me, to whom can I write? A person who really delves into the question and will not formally relate to his work.
