I bought an item recently that wasn't what I expected it to be. I contacted the company over it, they said they would get back to me about returning it and getting a refund. I got no response and decided to file a claim through PayPal, it was only then that the seller got back to me about returning the item for the full purchased price, but I would have to pay for the shipping myself out of pocket. I refused and continued my claim through PayPal and given the unprofessionalism and rudeness of the company's responding employee, I refused all further contact. When it was time to escalate the claim, I did and was refunded the purchase after the seller didn't respond to PayPal in regards to my claim against them. It as now been nearly a month and a half since the dispute and the claim was closed in my favor and the company is asking for the item back and apparently now offer returning labels, which they are claiming their application for one for me to return the item is denied because their warehouse is in the US and I am from Canada. Which I call BS on as I used to work for a courier company before and have recieved returning labels to return items to the US before from other companies. And the courier system that delivered my item (Which was suppose to have free shipping on it, but I was charged at additional 26$ for the postage cost.) for the company has returning labels. They now wish for me to pick the cheapest means of shipping to return the item via a tracking number and they will 'refund me the shipping cost'. As a costumer, I refuse to pay the shipping cost as I can easily return the item via 'return to sender' using the original box and postage address, but since the address on the box is from China and not their US warehouse address, they are refusing to take that as an option. I feel like the company will not refund me the shipping cost once I have paid for it and have sent them the tracking number for the item. My only options are to return the item via the 'return to sender method' or refuse to return the item entirely till the seller send me a returning label, as I refuse to pay any more additional costs for the item I received. I have contacted PayPal about the matter, but I was wondering if anyone could help me in the mean time to figure out what to do about this issue. I have no problems returning the item, I am just in refusal to return the item by the means in which they want me to as I refuse to pay out of pocket anymore than I have when there are means to return the item for free and they refuse to accept it.
