I truly appreciate your stance on this and your efforts to bring me around. I still can't grasp why / how eBay chooses to implement this funds hold. I have been a selling member since 2014, so I'm not new. I have a few hundred transactions over those 5+ years, and none have had an issue with any buyer of something I sold - no returns, no arbitration, no argument, no defects. I have had one issue as a buyer - when I bought a MacBook that arrived completely non-functional with a broken screen and keyboard, covered in something like dried glue, and so dirty I was afraid to touch it. I requested a refund and returned the purchase the same day and that was all handled well. In truth, I don't know if my funds were replaced by eBay, PayPal, or the Seller and it really doesn't matter. It was well handled. This situation is not being well handled. Perhaps I should ask a different question - under what selling circumstances will eBay NOT put a hold on payments? Then I can consider whether or not I am willing or even capable of meeting whatever their policy dictates. Only thing is that information is not available in the Ts&Cs nor was any one of the many levels of customer service I spoke to capable of providing an answer. So, I'll get over this but it will take a while. Meanwhile there will be one minor and insignificant seller less on eBay than there was yesterday.
