Just had signed up with Paypal Business Account a week ago and a shop support technician updated my shop from Personal to Business account's Paypal Checkout software and tested it and it worked. One customer order was placed successfully. The next customer was unable to place their order three times in a row, three attempts within 5 minutes time, because the store's payment gateway log shows: Reason: Error: (Paypal) Payment gateway is unavailable. This is loss of revenue because Paypal is not working properly. What could be wrong? Did Paypal forget to pay their hosting bill? UPDATE: I have just received a response from Paypal tech support after they inspected our store, regarding your orders failing payment processing, which I post below: "Your PayPal Checkout is up and running, so other customers can continue to use the checkout and it is functioning properly. PayPal is committed to providing our users with a secure and easy way to send and receive payments. As part of our security measures, we regularly screen information and payments transacting through our system. We sometimes have to review payments just to make sure that our platform is being used properly. This specific payment was not able to be processed by PayPal. If you to accept payment from this customer, you may want to take this specific transaction outside of PayPal. I apologize for any inconvenience that may be causing." Yet customer just wrote: "PayPal said your website breached their regulations". Strange... but yes, I will make sure I accept OTHER forms of payment for as much as possible.
