You need to update this in Paypal. eBay Inc Shipping uses Paypal but you can restrict Paypal automatic payments to a credit card. Solution: 1. Under PayPal settings (the gear button on your upper right), click on Payments tab 2. Click on link for 'Manage automatic payments' in the upper middle of page 3. Scroll all the way down to the bottom left side and click on 'Manage Funding Sources' 4. Uncheck your bank account or any other source that you do not want to use for automatic payments 5. Click Save then Done to return to Automatic Payments page 6. Scroll through your list of Automatic Payment Vendors and look for 'eBay Inc Shipping' with purple logo and click on it. This is different from the eBay account (who knows why). 7. To your right, click the 'Cancel' option to remove this vendor from Automatic Payments. This will force eBay to ask you to provide the details of your shipping payment for postage labels. You can also keep this Active if you have set up your Automatic Payments to not include your bank account or any other funding source. 8. Repeat this process for all other Automatic Payment vendors as you might find others that are sourcing payments from funding sources that you do not want. This is an old problem that just keeps coming back after various updates at eBay and/or PayPal. I suspect that there is a business reason for this otherwise PayPal and eBay would have fixed this long ago. It might be related to getting access to your account data. For example, when you use Venmo or Zelle, they have rights to download your account data if you use their service (look up 'Early Warning' financial services and request your report from them - very scary). If eBay accesses your bank account, they have rights to use the data in your bank account. This information is often sold to financial services companies, credit agencies, etc.
