Hi, We are a not for profit historical society. We are not a charity. We are not a business. We are not a sole trader. We do not buy or sell anything. We use Paypal to collect membership (usually around 1k euro a year). We had a one-off fundraising concert last November and this brought in over 2k euro. Paypal froze our account and it has been frozen since. We have emailed and called. The last call to the centre (at considerable expense on my mobile) left with the suggestion to email two documents: 1. A copy of a bank account with the organisation's header on it 2. A copy of tax compliance We have now done both - three times! We are a very small organisation and our research has been been badly curtailed by the lack of funds. It has now been over six months since this happened. I suppose the next step is to pay for a solicitor. This would be ridiculously expensive up-front but we are confident the small claims court would uphold our case. Do we have any alternative? Anyone else there in the same situation? Thanks. This is OUR money.
