My account was limited and I have already moved my business elsewhere. I have still been fighting to get my money before the 180-day wait because I hate the idea of Paypal scamming me to make interest off my hard earned capital. Rest assured that Paypal is the scum of the earth and will always rule in their favor. They are the judge, jury, and executioner of all business that crosses their platform. YOU ARE NOT SAFE! I thought I was because everything I do is above board. I buy some things using the platform, sell some collectible items every couple months, send money to friends to square up on debts, NOTHING EVEN REMOTELY SKETCHY! they permanently limited my account and will NOT give me more information. I will eventually take them to court for this case, but I am still in the process of trying to avoid that. I have emailed close to 100 different "executive email addresses" and other service emails, but nothing is coming back from a real person yet. If you have any other addresses I can try please let me know and I will check to see if I have it yet. **bleep** you Paypal. I hope you all dread going into work everyday because you're working for a Devilcorp. If Paypal doesn't care about its community members I can't imagine things are going well in their offices. You're all disgusting. Keep turning over your employees and customers for a quick buck. Can't wait till you and your investors bite the dust. Bring on the authentic new tech and get rid of this 20 year old dumpster fire.
Heres a story for ya from a redditor:
Was selling game cards on eBay in 2010. Digital delivery meant that I had no protections, and over two months one person ordered over $4000 in cards. When she was out of time, she decided to dispute it all. I sent enough proof that PayPal actually sided with me (though they did implement rolling reserves, etc.). A week later she filed credit card disputes and PayPal instantly closed my account for being fraudulent (even though they already sided with me). They froze the $13,000 in my account for six months. By the time I got the money, it was "disputed" down to less than $4000. The funny part though, is I contacted some of the people who had disputed the charges, and a few of them had no idea it ever happened. When I asked PayPal about it, they said "it seemed like it was fraudulent, so we went ahead and reversed it". A year after the sale, one of those buyers actually repayed me.
edit: spelling
Go collectively sit on a tack **bleep** first Paypal,
