I am having an issue with an International buyer who has claimed that the item sent is not as described - she claims that it is "stained" with yellow. The dress was hand washed and inspected before I sent it but knowing this I have offered to provide her with a $30 (in foreign currency) discount to cover the cost of dry cleaning. The buyer has asked for $60 (foreign currency to cover her cost of "disappointment"). The dress was sent with Australia post and received on Monday 27th May 2019 and the buyer contacted me regarding the issue on Monday 3rd June 2019. As it has been one complete week, my concern is that she has already worn the dress (valued at $600), "stained" it herself and now wants me to cover an extra cost. If I were to ask for the dress to be returned and it does not come back in its original condition (with the "stain") will I be covered by Paypal? Even if I were to refund the cost of $60 there is nothing stopping her from contacting Paypal with a claim of an "item not as described" and receiving the full amount back, the refund of $60 as well as keeping the dress. Has anyone ever had a similar issue? Is there any viable protection available for me and what is your best suggestion regarding this issue. Looking forward to your responses and hoping you can help!
