Some years ago I started receiving PayPal emails to an email address that didn't have an account associated with it. I contacted PayPal at the time and they said they couldn't do anything about the account, and that it would be disabled/removed in the due course of time because it had never been activated (as the account activation emails went to my email address and I ignored them.) Now, several years later, I still receive marketing emails for this account all the time and it is really really annoying. How can I stop this? I can't seem to disassociate my email address from this ghost account.
