I have searched for similar cases and found more than 100 posts stating they also were denied the claim by PayPal in favor of the scammer. Not sure if this will help me see any money back. I really doubt it, but hoping someone will read this and spare themselves the time and money. I ordered the needle felting wool fox and kitten which is (according to the advertisement on Facebook and their website) handmade from 100% merino wool, wire and glass/acrylic eyes (http://amdestore.com/needle-felting-wool-fox , http://amdestore.com/needle-felting-wool-kitten) but received two machine-made animal figures from polyester! I have taken screenshots from their store and pictures of the items received to show the difference in size, material and manufacturing between description and received items. I would like a full refund for getting items different from what I have ordered and much less in value. Amde Store refuses however to refund, although they offer "easy money back in 30 days" on their website. Well, forget about it and about the safety of buying with Paypal! They insist that the items are "slightly different because they are hand made". The order is placed on November 16th. Emailed on 2nd of December when I did not receive the order. Emailed to cancel my order on 12th of December after not receiving it and receiving a tracking number that did not work. But Amde Store insisted on sending the order and that they had trouble with the typhoon and the shipment. I last emailed them on the 8th of February requesting a refund and provided pictures of the received items that differ from the description, but they are brushing it off as "slightly different". So as long as it is a figure of a fox and a cat it is ok? They could have sent me anything that is similar and Paypal finds this ok! It was not clear to me that I am buying from China! The website lists a USA address. But the quality, Google translate English of the emails and sender address are telling me this is not an American vendor as advertised. Unfortunately, Paypal denied my claim with "This decision was made because if an item is materially similar to the seller's description, we do not consider it to be significantly not as described." So If I set up a store promising people red silk dresses and then send them maroon polyester dresses with different size and fabrication, Paypal will just aid me in scamming people? That can't be right. I really hope someone looks into these matters. In the meanwhile, I am posting this on different platforms hoping to spare others this disappointing experience.
