@Thomas148 The name on bank account has to be same as on paypal account. if the name is entirely different ie. fake name, that would be difficult to change for security reasons. If it is one letter wrong or minimal change, like a nick name, it's possible to change.

@Thomas148 If your uncle sent it using the friends / family option then the only way to get it back again would be if he funded that paypal payment via a credit card. In that case he could contact his card issuer and see if they will chargeback for him BUT they may refuse as it was not a commercial transaction. If not then sadly you are out of luck. Paypal is a legal financial account so whilst you wouldn't use a fake name to open a bank account then equally you shouldn't open a paypal account with one.

@Thomas148 Pretty much. PayPal is compelled to ask for these docs to comply with the law and their own policies to prove your identity because they don't want someone coming to them one day, going "Hey, why you give my money away to someone who is not me?!" Can't go rogue on PP anymore. We have to prove our identity. The question is why don't you have not 1 of these docs? Are you underage? Edit: just saw your other post.

Hi @Thomas148,
You are able to add a US bank account as @kernowlass stated.
It looks like you have listed in your profile that you live in Australia. If that's the case, we do not offer the check option for Australian accounts. I apologize if this causes an inconvenience.
Thanks,
Drew
