Hello, So recently I purchased a pair of sneakers off an app called “Grailed” through a seller. The pictures of the shoe looked promising and visually looked authentic. I ordered them, he got his money and I had to wait three days for the package. When I received the shoes in-hand I knew something was off. The shoes were unauthentic, a fake pair of sneakers. I asked for a refund but he claims the money is still “pending”. I created a dispute and afterwards he didn’t respond to that dispute after a couple days, so I escalated it. Still no response to it, so PayPal decided to be in my favor, but here’s the catch. I have to send the shoes back, now again the shoes are a product of counterfeit and from my knowledge distributing counterfeit goods are illegal and the seller knows that the shoes are fake, his going to just sell the shoes right back on “Grailed”. Also note, if I was to ship them back to him, he has to confirm that I sent them back for me to get my refund but his being unresponsive, so I would be risking losing my money and the shoes as well. If anyone had any knowledge of what I should do, please let me know.
