I desperately hope this post reaches the correct person to help me, but at this point I would be delighted to just get a response. The last two weeks, and the beginning of using Ebay/Paypal in order to facilitate sales for my business have broken me, and have (as of today) forced me to close the doors of my business or take out a sizeable personal loan just to keep myself going. If I may explain the timeline of events On December the 17th my account was placed in "limitation" status as a result of two ebay sales I made. Mind you, Ive been using Paypal up to this point with no issue, and I only haven my account frozen when there was a sizeable balance. I thought it was just a security check so I submitted the documents needed and waited. While on vacation, I received a notice that I submitted an old expired ID. Lets look at this first...this should have no bearing on authenticating my account. Its a valid picture ID, albeit my old one that I already had a copy scaned and saved of, which verifies my identity. This issue should have been resolved here, but it was only the beginning in what has effetcively broken me. During this time I was on vacation with my family, a time when I was depending on using my paypal business account and card for some portion of the vacation, and to place parts orders for my small business. I estimate over the next few days of my vacation I spoke to 15 representatives. I did everything possible to get the ball rolling and get my account available, and I was told over and over again to resubmit the documents and wait for 24-48 hours. I would ask to speak to a manager and would be put on hold for over an hour until forced to hang up. I have CSRs hang up on me directly, transfer me to different reps, and continuously lie to me. The effort it took to lie to me, give me fake timelines, and misleading conflicting information from rep to rep, seems to me like more effort than it would take to actually help me! (During this time frame my money from my ebay sales was released as both items arrived, no issues, and I was left positive feedback.) Again I resubmitted my documents, with my most current ID, and I even included my social security card and a years worth of tax returns for good measure. Nothing happened. I would call and get the same endless loop of being transferred to a manager, waiting an hour, then hanging up and calling back. I was told that I would need to wait for the the back office to review the documents. I was told I couldnt speak to the back office, then I was told I was being transferred to the back office, I was told I would need to wait 24-48 hours, then I was told I was being expedited and should have it taken care of within 1-6 hours. just an endless loop of non sensical rambling and nobody to help. This series of events continued for days. Im a very small business, I work full time, and my business is almost a hobby. I only do 1500-2k sales a week, and the 1k in my account is a very big amount of money to me in that regard. I sold two items that I wanted to get the most value out of using Ebay, planning for this to be a nice injection of cash into the business during the slow season. MY MONEY HAS NOT BEEN ACCESSIBLE FOR 11 DAYS NOW! Again, today, with all the documentation ive provided, I was told I would need to resubmit my ID. The games have continued from CSR to CSR. Yesterday I was told I was being expedited and should be resolved within 1-6 hours....twice...in a 12 hour period. Today I called and was told the normal wait time to verify documents was 1-5 days! Ive been told all week, by at least 7-8 CSR that the maximum time was 24-48 hours. Again, today, I was hung up on by a CSR. Three times today Ive asked to speak to a manager, and was placed on hold for 45-70 minutes, with nobody answering the line. Today I am broken. I was not able to place a parts order this week, and my business has been closed for the last two days. I was unable to pay both my business and personal cell, and the personal cell has been cut off. I estimate if this continues a few more days, without any income, and unable to obtain my money, I will have to close the doors on my business for good. A business that has fed me and my two sons when Ive been laid off and was lucky enough to have something to fall back on, or when my wife was battling cancer. Today they have completely broken me, and I see no end in site. The documents I sent were copied on a high resolution scanner, and were perfect in every way. You couldnt get more legible documents unless they were in your hands physically. It seems that doesnt matter to Paypal, that or the fact the my business is at a complete standstil because they can not verify legible documents and ensure that the info matches my profile. I hope, if nothing else, that someone reads this and decides not to entrust their business to Paypal, and elects to use some other sales tool other than Ebay. We have no choice when using Ebay, and because they do not care about us, its easy to just allow us to walk away. This company has literally ripped a whole in my life, by simply ignoring me, lying to me, talking in circles, and enforcing ridiculous rules than dont benfefit the customer in any way. I hope someone reads this and doesnt make the same mistake that I made...allowing a company to steal from you in broad daylight, then have them laugh at you as there is nothing you can do about it.
