A company (planetexpress.com) is supposed to send me money for a refund, which is unrelated to ebay buy or anything. First I gave them my email, which is the one I use to log in to Paypal, and they said "that address is unable to receive money". I think it is verified already, because there is no "verify" button, although I'm from Argentina and I know there are some restrictions for us. Later I generated and sent them my paypal.me link, and now I've received two emails supposedly from service at paypal dot com. One says "You've got money. Planet Express Shipping LLC sent you $24.83 USD. Transaction Details: Transaction ID: 2Y3504687K7749747, December 9, 2018" "transaction details" is supposed to be a link but doesn't work. I've checked the headers and the mail looks legit. The ehing is, this mail has arrived to another address, whith which i'm communicating with the company, but it is not associated to any paypal account! Another mail arrived at the same account saying: "Reminder: $24.83 USD from Planet Express Shipping LLC", "Claim your $24.83 USD by January 8, 2019 or it will be returned to the sender" and a "claim money" button which leads to the legit paypal page, which I double checked, https, verified page, does not seem phishing. Needless to say, entering my paypal account with my paypal mail address, there is nothing in my balance or transactions. But that's impossible, right? They cannot have sent me money to an address not associated to any paypal account, or can they? It does not seem like phishing, but maybe they're trying to send me a forged email to make me think they've paid? Or maybe they honestly tried to send money to an address not associated to a paypal account? What do you think? Is there anything I can do to claim that payment, or should I report this? Anyone knows the company? It seemed legit in web reviews though. EDIT: I created an account with the address that received the emails in hope it is created and receives the money instantly. No balance or activity.
