I am a season ticket holder to a professional sports team. I sold 2 tickets to a ball game. I used PayPal since I thought it protects both parties. Buyer asked me to send a money request. So, I sent the buyer a money request for the 2 tickets. Buyer asked me to send another money request to his friend who was using the other ticket. So I sent the money request to both people. They both paid. I then sent the tickets electronically. Buyer confirms he got the tix. The pro sports team I have season tickets with sent me an email confirmation that buyer got tix and downloaded them. A week after the event the buyer filed an unauthorized use of credit card dispute with their financial institution and I incurred a chargeback. I emailed all the documentation to PayPal. The buyers financial institution sided with the buyer. How they sided with the buyer...I have no idea. I’ve done hundreds of transactions before without an issue. PayPal says it has to honor the decision of the financial institution. What can I do?
