I saw a posting on craigslist for a 2006 acura for sale for $2950. I've never bought a car online like this before so I'm hesitant about doing it. The posting was for my local area so I thought I would just hop over and take a look. Then I found out that its not even in my state. However the person said that they had already arranged for shipping and its ready to go. I was given the vin number which I am still checking out and told that paypal would hold the funds for 5 days after shipping to ensure that I was satisfied with the car. And if I wasn't that I could ship it back to the person at their expense. Also, it comes with all the documents needed for registration and clear title. I know there are a lot of scams out there however, I also know that there are some people that have done this and had no problems. I guess I just want to know if anyone else has had a situation like this. If so, did it go well or were you scammed? Also, is there any real way that I can protected myself from being scammed? I know the rule of "if its too good to be true it probably is". But if it is legitimate I don't want to miss out. Thanks for you help.
