Hi All,
I recently noticed several large charges on my PayPal account from Uber. These charges do not match any of the rides I haven taken according to my Ride History on Uber, which leads me to believe someone has linked my PayPal account to their own Uber account. I have since changed my PayPal password and submitted disputes against the 26 charges from Uber that don't match any rides I have taken.
PayPal has since denied all cases, claiming that after review, these were not unauthorized charges. Uber tells me they "cannot locate the charges" associated with my account, despite me sending screenshots.
Does anyone have any advice on how to move forward here? Since my information was apparently stolen, am I the one who should bear the responsibility? Am I justified in thinking that PayPal should step up and help?
