So I just started using PayPal and honestly this is a very terrible experience and I’m very annoyed . So I sell on kijiji and kijiji showed that they now support payments made through Kijiji within the app where you can meet up and they can pay with PayPal . So a buyer was interested and paid $500 through the kijiji app. PayPal states that people selling on kijiji have Seller Protection but Buyers don’t aparently . So like a week after I get an email from PayPal that the buyer claimed they did not authorize the transaction ..... I was like ok 😕 but wasn’t bothered because it says that PayPal covers you with Seller Protrctuon over unauthorized claims/ credit card chargebacks/stolen account. So the dispute was going on and then they’re asking me to provide shipping info ? How on earth am I supposed to provide shipping info for face to face transactions ???? And then the case was closed in the buyers favour . Which I understand if someone uses his account fraudulently but they said I am not eligible for seller protection and now my account is negative $500 ....how when the transaction literally already states I have seller protection.... this is completely ridiculous . I’ve sent so many messages and the customer service still give me generic responses and do not even read what I am talking about . I’ve tried calling and the wait times are ridiculous. Why is nobody assisting me with this or is educated on the whole kijiji app PayPal integrated payments police . This is so annoying and I am honestly so tired of PayPal’s terrible customer service and incompetence . Has anybody experienced something similar ? Does anybody know how to help me . Pls . Thanks
