Hi, I really hope someone can help.
I signed up with PayPal earlier this year foolishly using a different name. The innocent reason being, because I was selling on eBay and did not want my selling competitors to know who I was for personal reasons. In hindsight, I realise this was a mistake .
There was no problem until PayPal asked me to provide proof of identity. I promptly supplied this and was open, honest and explained the reason why my name would not match. I don't blame PayPal for then limiting my account at all.... but the problem I now have is how to get to the existing credit in my account.
I received an email from PayPal explaining I could continue using the service and to open a new PayPal account using a different email address. I went on to explain I could withdraw money if I provided proof of identity and address. The email from continued to say I could "use the financials registered in your PayPal account in your new account".... again if I provided my correct proof of ID and address.
However, I cannot see any way of doing this. I've been directed to the Resolution Centre, but every time time it states the my name must match the PayPal account name.
I now have a working PayPal account with my correct details I've been using ever since, but just can't see how I'm to do as the email from PayPal suggested I could..... ie. "use the financials registered in your PayPal account in your new account".
Any help would be much appreciated because I have had this problem for a while now and have not had any reply back from PayPal after I initially asked for assistance. I've waited over 2 1/2 months now with no response.
Many thanks in advance!
