Ah ok so it went from your bank to pay back paypal but still shows negative balance on paypal. Yeah thats a little weird. Keep trying the live chat and leave them a message on it and they will get back to you but expect delays, I waited 24 hours or so for a response because they under staffed. Could be a glitch but i'd message them anyways

Happens to everyone who is new to paypal. I advise trying to become paypal verified and sending tracking numbers on anything you sell to speed up the process. They will get you to confirm a bank account with paypal, send them I.D ect to prove who you are.

If your paypal went negative it means paypal fronted the cost for you and you now owe them that money. Or are you saying that the transaction never went through and you never got the purchase but they charged you anyway?

My issue i checked my online banking today to find paypal charged me again for postage costs i already paid for a few days ago. Sure its just a glitch that will be worked out. Im waiting in live chat now to speak to someone ill let you know what they say. Im sure its just a mistake though. Just to be sure though you didnt have any drop down boxes on amazon that lets you choose how many of each item you purchase ? Could of purchased double by mistake

Sign into paypal, Go to help, when the window pops up at the bottom of that click help again, another Tab will open scroll all the way down and click contact us, Then find the "message us, its just like texting" option. Might be a quicker way but thats how i do it

I waited 7 hours the other day in live chat just to speak to someone, When it got to the final hour it repeated 1 hour left for an agent to respond, Then 2-3 more hours past before i spoke to someone.

If any body knows any steps to take id appreciate it. Can't afford account being locked again and paypal not responded to emails i sent them for the same advice. They use to take 3-5 days to respond to each message i sent them before covid-19 started so cant imagine what that would be like now.

I'm a private seller So last time i sold some ebay items when i tried withdraw my money they locked my account. All buyers got there items everyone left good feedback. Long story short i had to contact the Financial ombudsman to get my money back which they did and paypal unlocked my account. Now on ebay again im selling some items because i need the money towards getting a vehicle for work when this virus lockdown ends. Relationship break up has forced me to sell stuff i really didnt want to sell but desperation at this point. What i need advice on is how i can prevent this happening to me again, What kind of time frame should i wait before trying to withdraw my money and whether i can withdraw the whole amount after a certain time period has passed or withdraw some weekly ect. The ebay listings will be over this week. I have emailed paypal and asked them directly for this advice but i guess they are too busy to respond at the moment. Now i know funds are needed incase of any buyer problems, returned items ect but after that what time frame should i realisticly be looking at waiting. Thank you

So after A LOT of back and fourth with emails to and from paypal they ask me about 3-4 days ago to send all my ID and stuff (again) But give me no email address or link im supposed to send them to, Cant do it via resolution centre because of the block on my account and now they are not even responding to me. I have made a complaint to the FOS waiting to hear back from them.
