I bought a PC Monitor from Ebay for about $1000. The seller sent the wrong monitor (it was inferior) so I initiated a refund through Ebay and used EBay's provided return label. Due to the size of the box and the weight I had USPS pick it up (i have an email confirming that they did come to my house and pick up a package). This was on Saturday 10/6, so far the tracking still hasn't been updated and i am beginning to get worried. I can't fathom how you lose a massive box like this it's literally 3ftx1.5ftx2ft and weights 50lb's but, due to its price I am still concerned. After I had already shipped it I saw that by default Ebay only provided $50 insurance on a $1000 item for some inexplicable reason and they don't disclose it unless you go digging on other web pages and read through the fine print nor allow me to pay extra for additional insurance. USPS only allows me to request a lost mail search after 7 business days and file a claim after 15 so I can't do anything in the meantime. Does PayPal have any sort of protection for me in case USPS did lose the package somehow?
