Hi: Have had an extremely stressful transaction over the last month, and am not sure where PayPal stands in this dispute. I purchased an item for over 300 dollars through Grailed.com from what appeared to be a reputable user. Here is a brief timeline of the events: August 23 - Messaged seller to ask questions. Seller responded and said that he would be unable to ship until August 27th, and I should receive it by the 29th or 30th. This was understandable, so I agreed and paid then and there. Seller thanked me for the sale and told me he could get the box for the shoes and update me with shipping on the 27th or so. August 27 - I decided to message the seller asking to see if he has shipped yet. No response. Understandable, as he was probably busy. August 28 - Messaged again, asking to see if seller has shipped. No response. August 29 - Messaged again, expressing concern because I may not be home in the following week to be able to sign for/pick up the package. Seller responded and updated me with a tracking label saying he shipped "yesterday" (the 28th). Considering the tracking number indicated that the label was just created on the 29th and never dropped off, I just assumed he had forgotten. I thanked him and I hoped everything would be finished. September 2 - Four days later, the tracking number STILL has not been updated, i.e., still in pre-shipment and never printed out or dropped off at a post office. I messaged the seller again expressing concern. No response. September 4 - Another two days pass and the shipping number still hasn't updated. Seller is still unresponsive and I get worried that I'm in the hole over 300 dollars. I message the seller again. No response. September 5 - I file a dispute in PayPal, saying that the item hasn't been received and I provide the tracking number and the rough timeline of events. No seller response. September 7 - I escalate to a claim because the seller is clearly not replying to my messages so maybe he would respond to PayPal. September 17 - TEN days later, the seller apparently sends PayPal another tracking number (different from before). No explanation for the delay or anything. Has not communicated to me on Grailed either. This tracking number still has not been updated as "picked up" (same as the number from before). September 18 - Today, I message PayPal expressing my concern at the lack of communication from the seller and I asked how long I would wait, because I had already lost faith in the seller's ability to provide accurate information. Now, when I go into my Resolution Center, the dispute has completely disappeared. It isn't in the Closed Cases or Open Cases list, and I cannot search for it. It completely disappeared. I am just unsure where PayPal stands in this dispute. I can no longer see the status of the claim and am unsure if a ruling has been made. TL;DR - Purchased shoes about a month ago, received two fake tracking numbers, received no shoes, lost over 300 bucks, no response from the seller, and claim has magically disappeared from my Resolution Center. Any advice, anyone?
