Yesterday I made a withdrawal of $800 to my bank account from my PayPal Balance, which brought my PayPal balance down to about $50. I got an email saying there would be a 48 hour review on the withdrawal before it would be released, so its status became pending. A couple hours after that I sold a phone for about $300 on eBay (I buy and resell iPhones with eBay) so my PayPal balance was about $350. A couple hours after THAT a buyer opened a return request on a phone I had sold a couple weeks ago, because they didn’t want the phone any longer. The price of that phone was about $510, and I accepted the return request and eBay said to not refund the buyer until I receive the item back. So I wake up to an email at 5 am this morning telling me that because of a negative balance in my PayPal account, the pending $800 withdrawal I did yesterday has been reversed and the money has been put back in my account. Only thing is, I don’t have a negative balance, there is still $350 on my balance. I’m wondering if the return request triggered a negative balance on my account because the value of the item they wanted to return and get a refund for was greater than my current balance? Anyways, the $800 that was reversed is no where to be seen and in my PayPal activity it says +$800 “completed” in green font, which certainly makes it sound like I’ve received the $800 back that was reversed, but so far it’s no where to be seen. Should I be worried about that 800 or will it still take the normal 2-3 days to come back to my account? As of now it’s just floating out who knows where and that is a lot of money that I will be **bleep** about if it just happens to disappear.
