Hello! I used to use PayPal back in 2017/early 2018 for my self employed work. They limited me WAY back on the 26th October 2017 and wanted me to confirm my details. I confirmed 2/3 but unable to provide photo ID (No longer have a Passport and couldn't get a government ID). My question is can PayPal really hold my funds for more than 365 when my account is limited? Last payment was: May 2018 It is now July 2019, can I somehow request for the funds to be received or can they legally do this? I'm lost for words right now. I've already tried contacting them on the phone but they really don't help. They basically said you need to provide photoID or you can't get "your money" I have around 530GBP

Update: Before making this post, I got off the phone with an advisor and he informed me if I show a bank statement with just my name, address and bank details on it that, it would be okay. After posting this thread I refresh the steps on my limitation and my "proof of address" step has been reset???? what is going on. I don't even want to use PayPal anymore, I just want my account closed and funds to already be released.

So.. my account was limited November 2017 and it's been 1 year since the limitation. They are requesting for more details which I have provided but I cannot provide "Photo ID" I've tried to get a government ID but they require photo id to get one which I don't understand.. I don't have a birth certificate either..
What are my options? I can't currently afford to re-new my passport which is stressing me out. Surely they can't hold my funds this long? don't they have to released and close my account after 180 days? oh and to make things even worse, my card on my account was expired and was removed

Hello. I recently came across my PayPal account from last year. It was limited due to me not verifying my information (2/3 completed). It has been around.. 8 or 9 months since the limitation. I read somewhere that after 180 days you can receive the funds ect. How can I get my funds? and how can I contact an advisor if needed?
Thanks,
- Trey
