Hi.
I've been a PayPal customer for at least 3 years. Earlier this year they locked my account after a transaction dispute I had with my bank & E-bay. I filed a chargeback for an unrecognized purchase on my E-bay account. I can only assume that this chargeback issue is the reason why I found later in May that my PayPal account had been locked completely and all transactions were restricted. It had an "Account Limitation" put on it and it requested verification documents like photo ID, bank statement, etc. I complied and sent all the requested documents. It said they issue should be resolved within 3 business days. It has been 3 MONTHS and I've heard nothing.
I have had no luck contacting them, either. All of my emails go unanswered. What really infuriates me is their nonexistent phone service. I have called two dozen times, sometimes even waiting on hold for close to 1 hour, but every time the hold either redirects to the start menu or the call drops completely. Sometimes the call will just go to a dead zone where there is no hold music and no menu voice. It's just silence forever.
This kind of service is unacceptable. Paypal needs to get their phone system right and also hire more employees to handle the high call volumes. I recently called Apple's support and it was a delightful A+ experience. I know that PayPal has the financial means to offer the same excellent services as Apple, so why do I feel like contacting them is like trying to reach a small village in rural Armenia?
Does anyone know how to get Paypal support to actually reply or pick up the phone? Is there a secret number I can hit on the main menu?
I've been very cooperative and extremely patient. I just want my account back.
