I recently requested a refund for a purchase made via PayPal credit, at a value of circa. £3k. The refund was issued to my PayPal account rather than PayPal credit account. It was the first time I had seen that but rather than flag it, I simply used the money to clear my credit balance. The vendor has now realised their error and refunded again, this time to my credit account. Obviously they are asking for the overpayment back, which I want to get sorted asap. When the refund clears, I will be £3k in credit on my credit account. Can I use this to make the payment back to the vendor? Not sure how else I can proceed. I can’t transfer the original refund back as I have spent it to clear the balance so I would need to use the positive balance in the credit account. Sorry for the hypothetical, I am still waiting for the refund to show in my account so I can’t see what my options are. Thank you.
