I bought a product through Aleko that said specifically Excellent for Sun and Rain Protection. less than 30 days later from receiving the product the rain comes down on this awning and bends it. When I contact the vendor they said it is not to be used in the rain and would not honor a refund. I contacted pay pal and sent them the product description from the vendors site and the email from the vendor contradicting their own description, and Pay pal sided with the vendor. I appealed, they still sided with the vendor stating the transaction was processed correctly. My complaint was not about the transaction it was about the product and the vendor misleading and being unethical. I appealed a 3rd time and Pay pal still sided with the vendor after providing proof that the vendor states that the product is not to be used in the rain. This would not happen with American Express, even with my own bank if I would of used my debit card or check card. ANY credit card would take this proof and charge back the vendor but not Pay pal. EVEN AMAZON, you process a complaint about a product and they help you resolve the issue. Do not use Pay pal for any large purchases. I'm am out $717 for a product that is bent and broken after rain. Plus installation $250. So why bother using Pay pal if they don't protect their buyers which obviously pay more in interest payments than the vendors do.
