I am making a formal complaint against Pay Pal as a company. I purchased an item and made my payment through pay pal. The item that was delivered was not the item I purchased. I then opened up a dispute claim. My dispute was opened on 6/13/2018 and it was escalated by me on 6/20/2018 because no response was received after a week my dispute was open. After another long week of no response I received an notification on June 28th telling me I could receive a refund. I was instructed in order for me to receive a refund I would have to pay more money to ship the product back. I already paid money for a product that I didn't receive and Pay Pal tells me I have to pay more money out of my pocket to return the incorrect product???? I called customer service on 6/30/2018 and explained I should not have to pay for shipping on a product that was incorrectly delivered to me. I was then instructed to check my email for instructions on getting a refund for the shipping cost but was told I had to ship the product by 7/8/2018. Why do I have a deadline to ship a product that was incorrectly delivered to me???? This shipment is not my priority. I have a LIFE and it is not in my schedule or budget to go to the post office and make a payment for shipping back a product that I ordered and the product that was ordered was not delivered. I spoke to three different people at customer service and they WERE NO HELP AT ALL!!!! I asked if this dispute could be extended to the week of July 16th because I will be traveling out of town and need extra money for my trip and was told NO. What type of company doesn't give a customer an extension when they have other plans that cannot be changed to ship a package??? This is ridiculous!!!! NOW I'M GOING TO LOSE MY MONEY BECAUSE PAY PAL CAN NOT GIVE ME AN EXTENSION?????? THIS IS THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER HAD TO DEAL WITH!!!! I already sent Pay Pal and email and wanted to share this horrible experience with others.
