After I attempted to link my papal account to Acorns via Paypal's newest promotion email. I was stopped in my tracks by an email stating that I had an "issue" with my account. The contents of the email are as follows: Dear <>, We need your help resolving an issue with your PayPal account. What's the problem? Before we can offer you certain products and services, federal regulations require that we collect specific information to verify your identity. This information includes your name, address, date of birth, and National Tax ID or Social Security Number. We haven't been able to verify your identity using the information you provided, so we need some additional documentation from you. Until this issue is resolved, you'll be able to log in to your PayPal account but you might not be able to add money to it or use some of your account features.
My question is to what extent is my PayPal account limited, the email that I received was quite vague, when I go into the settings of my PayPal account now it states that the impact that this limitation has on my account is "Medium", with no determinable explanation as to what the limitation is actually currently limiting and what it is not.?
I have not connected a bank account to this PayPal as well as I only use it to make purchases as well as receive payments from things such as Google Opinion Rewards. So will this account limitation affect those transactions or does it only limit things that have to do with banks?
