On eBay, if you write in the description anything to do with "cash on collection" or "cash in hand", they wont let you post your listing until you remove those words. When i spoke to someone from eBay via livechat, they stated that even on collection only ads, i need to accept paypal.
My account is new so any payments made to me will be held however, One of my orders , the person collected the item and now he seems to be inactive as he has not left any feedback although text messaged me stating the product is perfect.
When i spoke to eBay regarding speeding up the release of my funds, he mentioned that eBay is not holding the funds nor has anything to do with it and it is up to Paypal to release the funds. He also stated that, i should only let the customer collect the item when paypal makes the funds available to me.
I dont know if the customer rep is telling the truth or not but i was hoping to get some tips on ensuring that collection products have some safety measures like making a receipt and using it as evidence that buyer has collected the item... what else can i do to ensure safety?
I read in this forum that many people advice not to use paypal for collection however, eBay does not let me untick paypal as a payment option nor do they let me write the word "cash" "cash in hand" on the ad description.
How can i speed up the funds release? or what safety measures can i take to ensure i have evidence of collection etc?
